Not the worst experience. Suitable for daily basics and quick run-ins. Variety of products acceptable for shop size and generally in good quality. Typically staffed by disinterested sales persons but every now and again you have the pleasure of encountering a member of staff whom realise the importance of having a job.It is also believed that the endangered managerial species of "skiver" can be spotted but then again the same can be said about Father Christmas.Disabled accessible but not fluent freedom for wheelchair users.Four stars based on the memory of growing up with the Co-Op and being loyal to the brand.Stood the test of time, just about.
There's no dedicated parking which can make it hard to get parked close by. Staff are ok and decent range of food.
Never enough staff, self service tills never work properly and don't take cash. The only shop I've ever been in that the till staff take one look at the increasing length of the queue then close the till leaving the remaining youth to soldier on alone. Was actually better before the revamp.
Terrible service: I paid a five pound note and fifty pence in coins for a Euromillions ticket that costs two fifty. I turned to leave, when I realised that the person at the till had not given me my three pounds change. I told them that I had given them a note and they insisted I had only given the two fifty in change. I told them I had a blue fiver and they said they had only one at the till, and since it was in the middle of the stack it could not have been mine! The supervisor came and looked at the camera, but that was not clear. I was told I had to wait till next day when they would have cleared the till! I had to take another trip there to have the issue sorted.Bit of a hassle shopping there; not worth it.
