We enjoyed a Sunday afternoon session as part of our wedding festivities. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was very tasty. Our Australian guests enjoyed a taste of a true Irish pub and session.
Only place I've found with a cask ale in town so far. Only have one mind you but it rotates frequently from what I can tell, so there's a decent selection. Bar food is good, they have a separate menu that they switch to after 6 pm and a full menu for the restaurant area.
We had a boys reunion here recently. Food and service was very good. The bar staff on the day where very helpful with our requirements. We will be back.
Not sure why I thought this was a quiet traditional pub - but as it turns out - it isn't really. Sat night is really busy with a few rowdy patrons among the more more normal ones. A few unfamiliar beers on tap which is good but some expected ones missing. Although there are a good number of seats in the downstairs, most were taken so I had to stand until some became available.I wouldn't mind going back but it wouldn't be close to top of my list either.
Loved the atmosphere. Traditional music played live which was awesome. I loved the food and the Irish beers. Friendly staff too. Must visit while in Belfast.
