I went for Sunday lunch today with family. I have eaten her once before and it was extremely good. Today I don't quite think up to the same standard. We all got roast of the day with all the trimmings, it was very good. My only criticism for the roast was it definitely could have been warmer. We all ate it and enjoyed. We ordered dessert, my husband ordered the homemade rice pudding.. It obviously had caught on the bottom of the pan whenever the chef made it and the aftertaste of burnt was definitely there. In my opinion the chef obviously doesn't taste before serving otherwise that dish should never have left the kitchen. Did they think that paying guests are stupid and would not have noticed. I expected more and on this occasion they didn't deliver. Won't be back for a while as this had tarnished my dining experience. .
Had a lovely Christmas dinner here including a delicious seafood boxtythe portion was massive but I couldnt stop eating after I was full because it was just so good! Also had the chocolate mousse for dessert which was possibly the best chocolate mousse Ive ever had! Very friendly service as well.
Have been to a couple of private parties and made feel extremely welcome. Family business creates a lovely report between staff members which makes you feel very much at home. A simple but high quality fairly priced menu. Lovely in the summer out side.
Great service. Excellent food. If youre in Belfast, this place is a MUST; just remember to make reservations before you come out for this mouth-watering deliciousness. I also highly recommend the Sticky Guinness Pudding for dessert.
Great menu with local ingredients and a very accommodating staff. The team at Holohan's makes sure you leave with a local family feel. They were kid friendly, adjusted the menu for allergies and were able to introduce us to some awesome local gin. I would highly recommend and will certainly return.
