The rental experience was trouble free, no issues with the car ( Citroen C1), the pick up was trouble free & I returned the car before 07:00am & I dropped the key in the out of hours box. Thank you.
Reserved a car for a couple of Days earlier this month.No wait at desk and the Lady there was friendly and did not force the additional insurance etc (It was Corporate rate)Car clean and tidy.Return was due at 14.00. I dropped key at 13.52 and at same time messaged my friends to say I was on the way over to the shortstay pickup where they were waiting to pick me up.Checked my CC earlier and noticed a difference of over 30 from the original reservation price.Called up support who advised due to late return of car that I have been charged extra? I said what late return and after a discussion and as a "goodwill gesture" the additional amount will be refunded.Edit* the after care was great so have changed the star review to 5 as politely explained it was a human error. Thank you.
Not impressed. The one star is for the chap at check in who was very polite, generous with his time and very helpful. Unfortunately the car was horrendous. It was massively over inflated by around 10 psi. It was a wet day and on a bend the car skipped across the road. I had my 12 year old son in the car. When home I checked the tyre pressure. It was 38 all around. It should have been 29 in the front and 35 to the rear. When I told the man at drop off he just shrugged his shoulders. Couldn't care less attitude. Shameful . The car itself could do with a service. It was huffing and puffing up hills. There was no instruction manual in the car or service manual for the radio system Bluetooth wireless etc. Probably the worst car rental experience I have ever experienced.

Arrived at Belfast City airport at 8.00pm on 20th August 2018.The staff member on the Avis Preferred desk greeted me with a smile and a pleasant welcome.The paperwork was ready for my arrival and within a couple of minutes I was on my way. The car was virtually new, with only 300 miles on the clock, clean, comfortable and exactly what I needed. I was advised that there were no marks on the car which I verified, the fuel tank was full and I should return it with a full tank when I returned the car. When returning it the receiving staff member was pleasant, and dealt with me quickly and efficiently asking me if I had had any problems with the car and was happy with it. Overall a good experience with Avis.
